After starting to redo the site a couple of time from the ground up and failing, I thought I’d on the other end this time and do it live to have something to present. Sure much of the old content have been removed but in time I hope to re-enter that into this WordPress thingy.
In the meantime, Sorry about the mess, we’re redecorating.
As christmas moves closer I thought I update the look to more reflect the season.
Some misserable soul hacked our server this night. Good thing that we have backups and a new server =). A bofh shouldn’t be cought with his pants down (other than when absolutly necessary).
My employer InStiro is now hosting rambris.com. As I am BOFH there I have good control over the servers.
Added some gradient and updated the stylesheets a bit to make the page a tad more visually appealing.
Added some DVDs and updated the speakers page.
Also made PHP tell your client how many bytes are coming down and when they last were modified. Maybe some caching proxies can get used now.
Things seem to clear up in the work front. If all goes well (which it probably will) I will have a job that pays in a few months.
Also fixed some bugs in the hack on the left.
I was a bit bored last night and made a cool but useless JavaScript. Try moving your mouse over the menu to the left and see for your self. For a peek at how it’s done look at the script (MouseOver HighLight) itself. On my machine it hogs a great deal of CPU time but only when it animates. It requires CSS and a bit of DHTML i guess. But it’s not that without it the page get unreadable.
I made some small changes on the colors here to make the page look a bit better in MSIE (which has lousy color mapping). There was some errors in the stylesheet too so that’s also taken care of.
The print function here should now work. I got a webcam for my birthday and about 2am I was fooling around with it. The hours went by and by 5am the video clip was ready. You might have guessed that I am from time to time quite goofy… well… I guess I set some records this time =). The clip shows fine in both MediaPlayer (for those of you with MS… Windows) and X-Movie.
I added a print icon on the left. It doesn’t work with showimage yet but it will. The e-mail addresses is now clickable but not easilly snooped up by robots.
